Sergio Yazbek is a Brazilian guitarist and music producer, two times nominated for the Latin Grammy. He has played music professionally since 1985, and for 15 years he was a member of the greatest Reggae band in Brazil, Cidade Negra, recording 8 CDs and 4 DVDs, some of these certified gold and platinum. With Cidade Negra he specialized in the art of dub, and made tours worldwide, playing twice at the Montreux Festival in Switzerland, at the Rock in Rio, and more. He worked with some of the most successful Brazilian artists, like Gilberto Gil, Martinho da Vila, Carlos Dafé, Margareth Menezes, Sergio Dias (Os Mutantes), and many others. For two years, Sérgio wrote for the Guitar Player Brasil Magazine and was interviewed by them three times.
