Nelson Faria is one of the most acclaimed and respected guitar players in Brazil. His style brings a lot of Brazilian Popular Music, as much as Jazz, Bossa Nova, and other Brazilian genres.

Nelson studied at the Musicians Institute, in California, with teachers like Frank Gambale, Ted Greene, Scott Henderson, and Joe Pass among others. He has worked with great names such as Nana Caymmi, Zelia Duncan, Cássia Eller, Edu Lobo, and Milton Nascimento.

Nelson Faria dedicates most of his time to teaching. He has written several books and teaches music at Örebro Universitet, Ingesund Universitet, KMH, and on his website (Fica a Dica Premium). He also has a popular internet show (Um Café Lá em Casa) with over 300 thousand subscribers.
